Blog it All

This is a blatant experiment on my part to see how blogs really work. On our blog, we can see what search terms bring people to our website. The most popular search terms are level 5 vegan, garmont vegan hikers and organ donors (all topics that we’ve blogged about).

So I wondered if we incorporated other terms, whether our blog would get more hits.

For example, two years ago I organized a vegan camping trip to Yosemite, one of the most popular holiday and vacation destination sites in California, the United States and international too. We had 3 campsites with about 18 people, lots of yummy vegan food. You can see pictures of our vegan Yosemite camping trip in the photo gallery on our website for 2002. I can’t remember what the exactly title is, but you can bet it will include Yosemite.

We were able to enjoy some magnificant views of the waterfalls, valleys and breaktaking scenery in Yosemite. Thanks to digital cameras and friends, I have a lot of good memories of the trip.

Other popular vacation sites in the SF Bay Area include attractions that locals take for granted. Sometimes we visit them, but most often we don’t, getting caught in the daily grind of real life. But I think it’s a good idea to pretend we’re on vacation and do these different things. Some popular local sights to see include the San Francisco Golden Gate bridge, the reknown island prison Alcatraz, Muir Woods, Wine Country, Monterey and Carmel.

If you’re interested in a tour to Alcatraz, I highly recommend the night tour. At nite, the return trip to SF provides a wonderful silhouette of the lights of the city. The Alcatraz night tour offer features some areas of the prison not open during the day tours.

If you ride the MUNI underground train in SF, it is so different from riding the above-ground bus. Maybe you can pretend you’re riding the underground in London. Mind the Gap.

The Hook">The Hook

With Mite in the household, our concern over his wobbly back legs, Jack’s need for a special diet (he’s prone to FUS), we keep a close eye on how much and what everyone is eating.

Of course, sometimes if the guys seem really hungry, we’ll put out some extra food or maybe one cat (usually Harry) is slower eating than the rest, and the others try to get their face in the food bowl and nudge in.

Mite’s not really good at nudging anyone out of the way. He’ll usually sit patiently by, waiting to see if there’s anything left. Just recently he showed a new trick — he uses his paw to snag the food bowl and pull it over!

It’s definitely not a fluke as he’s done it several times.

Mite is definitely mighty!

Mite LB">Mite LB

Well, I guess Mite’s official ‘name’ is a hybrid of the two names that we each liked. I contribute “Mite” (for his size and ‘mighty’ attitude) and Chris contributed “LB”. As we’ve gotten to know Mite, how apt the LB has become!

‘Little Bugger’ (the original intent) because he’s into everything

‘Loves Bread’ – definitely not an Atkins cat

‘Little Beggar’ – loves whatever we are eating

‘Love Bug’ – he’s definitely a snuggler.

How could anyone have surrendered such a precious little bundle of love! We’re happy that we found each other.

Moo’s sick :(

We got Moo vacinated yesterday, and today he’s not been well. Mite has done a good job of looking after him. :)
