Bay Area Vegetarians (BAVeg) is a San Francisco Bay Area wide group for vegan, vegetarian and animal rights folks to connect and find support with like-minded folks. We invite you to be an active part of our community.
We're open to new leaders and volunteers to help us promote compassion to animals and veganism. If you've got a wonderful idea, we want to hear from you! Don't be shy, and don't worry if you've never done it before, as that's true for many of us.
We are a 100% volunteer, no fees, plant-powered organization with over 4,000 members throughout the Bay Area and beyond.

"Tasty and all vegan, w/ good portion sizes. I enjoyed the combo dinner for $10 with rice, greens, lentils, and yams. Took home an order of delicious potato salad. Owners/staff friendly and committed to vegan dining. Hopefully the interior is a work in progress--very funky and lacking ambience. A nice addition to the Golden Lotus/New World/Break Room Cafe neighborhood in downtown Oakland."
